Friendly Plantation on Our Experimental Tea Garden 茶樹友善種植實驗

Organic plantation may not fit all farms in Taiwan, in terms of the design defect of the regulation, agricultural environment and expense of the organic certificate. We are looking for a better  plantation solution applying to our experimental tea garden to promise the biodynamic balanced environment. We only supply the necessary elements to the plants and soil based on the observation and objective scientific analysis, like taking care of our children. All these measures are under the law of the national tea safety standard. If the experimental plantation is proven working well, we’d like to share our experience to more farmers to make the environment better together! Stop incorrectly pursuing organic plantation and eliminate the risk to jeopardise the environment and plants. The biodynamic balance and zero contamination are our missions, not a certificate.

Tea grows differently in different locations in the field. The distribution of the insects and capability of water drain varies with locations. Albert Chen, an professional and experienced plantation consultant, walked around the tea garden with us and taught us how to tell the healthy condition of the tea leaves and soil. Associating with the soil test data analysis, the proper fertilisers were applied on Nov.26 and Dec.14 to supply the N, P, K, Mg, etc. The purpose is to make the tea bushes stronger to resist the attack by the insects without any pesticide.

有機種植無論是法規的問題或是台灣的農業生態與環境保護, 都不見得對小農們友善. 我們開始將環境友善的理念,在自己的茶園進行實驗, 走出有機以外的另一個永續經營的模式. 邏輯是希望在保護環境生態的框架下, 將具有生命的茶樹與土壤們, 當成小孩一般的照顧. 藉由觀察與科學的分析, 適時的補充適量的營養, 並且確保產品符合法規要求之農產品安全性. 如果這樣的耕作實驗能夠成功, 我們希望能夠分享給更多的農友, 一起為環境與生態而努力. 停止不當追求有機而傷害環境的風險.  我們追求的是生態平衡, 零污染及永續經營, 而非片面的產品認證.

茶樹的生長在田地的不同位置, 蟲害的分佈與排水的特性都會有所不同. 在友善耕作著墨十餘年的陳興宗大哥帶我們觀察指導茶樹生長的情況與葉子的有機質的型態, 搭配土壤試驗的結果, 我們在Nov.26 及 Dec.14開始施肥, 補充土壤中的微量元素(氮, 磷, 鉀, 鎂等), 並且提供茶樹生長所需要的養分, 目的是讓茶樹強壯之後, 才有能力在無農藥的狀況下, 抵抗病蟲害, 讓生態平衡可以早點實現.
