研究證實茶葉確實有防止骨質疏鬆, 大幅降低骨折的風險.

茶飲中的黃酮類化合物,能抑制破骨細胞, 茶多酚有活化骨骼鈣化作用中骨細胞的活性, 也有抑制破骨細胞活性的功能,能有效減少骨質解離的情況, 讓鈣質、礦物質留在骨頭中 [1-2].

日本研究人員發現,存在於紅茶中的茶黃素可以阻礙破骨細胞的形成[3]。成大於臺灣家庭醫學雜誌的研究顯示, 有喝茶者骨質疏鬆風險比不喝茶者可降低47%,顯示每周至少喝茶一次、持續六個月可預防骨質疏鬆 [4]. 澳洲研究也指出, 75歲以上, 每天至少喝三杯茶的人可降低34%罹患骨質疏鬆的風險, 降低42%臀部骨折風險 [5]. American Journal of Clinical Nutrition期刊中報導的研究顯示一天喝三杯茶以上骨折的風險比一週喝少於一杯以下的人低30% [6].

無論是綠茶, 烏龍茶, 紅茶, 這些研究都證實對骨質疏鬆都有降低的功效. 要獲得最有營養價值的元素, 還是建議沖泡真正健康無毒的茶葉, 避免過量的糖與奶精, 更不推薦連鎖飲料店的茶飲.

此外, 喝茶還可以抗氧化, 延緩衰老, 降低體脂肪, 改善心血管疾病, 兒茶素的EGCG亦可防癌 [1], 是不是應該多多飲用?

Tea Helps Strong Bones?

Several research proves tea reduces the risk of bone fracture [1-6]. Researchers in Japan found theaflavin in black tea blocks the forming of the osteoclasts [3]. The statistical data from National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan shows 47% lower risk of getting osteoporosis in the group of people drinking more than one time per week for more than 6 months [4]. In Australia, Calcium Intake Fracture Outcome Study on 1000 people at the age of 75 shows the people drink more than three cups of tea a day have a 34% lower risk of getting a serious, osteoporosis-related fracture, and a 42% lower risk of getting a hip fracture relative to the women seldom drinking tea [6].

Tea, including green, oolong and black tea, are great to prevent the osteoporosis. It’s the most natural way to get the beneficial elements from tea, such as flavonoid, polyphenols, catechin, etc. There is no reason not to have more tea to keep yourself healthy and happy. Start to brew a cup of tea every day for yourself and your family. Your health matters.
